Our Property & Health at Risk – 5G Being Considered in Lansing Now

From Conservative Choices Newsletter, October 3, 2018

Today at 8:15 a.m., the Energy Policy Committee of the Michigan House is considering SB 637 (Senator Hune), SB 894 (Senator Nofs) which deal with telecommunications, permits and fees, right-of-way, land use and other topics related to the question of deploying 5G Wireless Technology.

What is 5G anyway?  Read here.

These two Michigan Senate bills will give 5G technology companies primacy over local governments and property owners.  This isn’t right!

The industry vision for 5G is to enable the “Internet of Things (IoT)”, Smart Communities, driver-less cars (and more), where everything from road to appliances (even baby diapers!) are embedded with wireless radiation transmitters that connect to cell phones, smart meters and the Internet. The industry wants wireless everywhere, with “small cell” towers every couple hundred feet apart! That means cell towers in our neighborhoods, near schools, parks, our homes and bedrooms – everywhere we work, play or sleep.

5G would use a combination of microwaves and millimeter wavers, which are scientifically shown to harm people and nature.

Here are nine ways 5G and the IoT will harm humans, the environment, and Earth:

HEALTH –  the robust and growing independent science shows harms to our health from microwave radiation

PRIVACY – the invasion of our privacy from the collection and mining of our digital data

CYBER SECURITY – the fast-growing and devastating cyber security risks

ENVIRONMENT – the harms to wildlife, particularly bees, butterflies and other pollinators

ENERGY – the huge energy consumption to produce and power a wireless IoT

BRAINS AND HUMANITY – the effects on our brains and humanity from humans increasingly inhabiting the cyber world and from microwaves in the air in close proximity

E-WASTE – the astronomical e-waste that will be generated from connecting virtually every “thing” to the Internet

CONFLICT MINERALS – 5G and the IoT will vastly grow our dependence on conflict minerals, which have brought about the death of nearly 6 million people

ETHICS – ethical issues arising from the use of IoT information.  New human rights laws are being considered: how should humans relate to robots and AI? The blurring of what was once a clear delineation between technology and humans.

With the federal government rushing to regulate 5G by 2020, and with so many unanswered questions, let’s ask the Senate committee and House to table this for now! No hurry; we need more science on this question!

We buy our property to the center of the road and pay taxes on that property. We consent to roads, then they change a right-of-way from 60 feet to 90 feet to 150 feet without a legal taking or compensation for this loss. The electrical power line is permitted but you do do not get the money. Then phone lines, cable lines, and now wireless antenna, down as low as 12 feet or so from the ground, all put in without our permission or compensation.

This ugly electronic spaghetti is aesthetically offensive and, without our permission, is a violation of our rights in a restriction on the use of our property. Add to it the threat of health and we must protest this. Legislators are rather elected to represent us. We the people not just mega-billion-dollar corporations.

Yes, the totalitarian Chinese Communists are ahead of us in imposing 5G technology to control and snoop on their subjects. Do we really want to beat them at that? These mega corporations tend to be internationalists and there is no barring ownership of this grid and its communications ability by foreign powers. The Chinese already have at least three broadband centers in Michigan (e.g., controlling all cell communications in the thumb area of Michigan), control several United States ports, and are buying US corporations with technology, engineering and research centers, patents, and manufacturing technology (remember Nexteer?).

You use to have the right to control your private property, including what impacts your health. Consider attending, presenting the statement, writing, email, phone or visiting representative and members of the House energy committee.

The bills passed in the Michigan Senate while ignoring the health warnings from several people who testified against.  Proven cancer, loss of fertility, physical and mental incapacity, even death. It is not only a terrible violation of our property rights, but a terrible risk to a large segment of our population with uncharted risks to flora and fauna of all kinds. It is insanity to put the bills forward under the circumstances. Here is a scientific presentation with an introduction to some of the known health risks. Listen here.
